The Aztec game of Patolli

The aztec game called tlachtli
The Aztec mainly had 2 different games to play. They were called tlachtli and patolli. They tried to shoot a rubber ball
with their knees into baskets at the end of each court. It is basically a combination of modern day basketball and soccer.
Patolli was more of a gambling game. They played with pebbles and dry beans. The beans were used as dice. Each
player had a home base in the middle of the X shaped board. At the beginning you would decide how many pebbles to gamble.
You must role the beans (dice) and try to get to your home base in the middle. The pieces could only move clockwise
The Aztec ate many different foods. Mainly they ate corn but sometimes they ate tomatoes, avacado, porridge, tortillas,
and chocolate. But, the chocolate was reserved for warriors and royal people. They usually ate twice a day and during the
hottest parts of the day.
Aztec men wore loincloths and sometimes a sleevless poncho with a small pouch under it. They used it to carry coco
leaves to chew. Aztec women wore a skirt wrapped around their waist and hip.
The women did all the spinning and weaving to make clothes and other neccesarry items. They were to weave for their
families and also give goods to the rulers as taxes. They were made from cotten and maguey fibers. Only the rulers wore
cotton clothing, and if peasants wore them, they would get killed.
